What is history of ideas and inventions; both good and bad, that have occurred over history? For example: failed experiments, inventions that cause destruction, ideas that do good, inventions that never get marketed or are "secret" etc.

The “bright idea” is often represented as a burning bright lightbulb. I am interested in exploring the history of ideas, and exploring the image of the “bright idea.”

In my recent research, I found directions on how to build lightbulbs out of everyday materials- and and plan to develop an interactive installation with a combination of these experiments with the list of of "good ideas" and "bad ideas" people give in an on-line survey.
